Dear OFRH family member,

Let me share just part of a note we received last month from a lady in Boise, Idaho. She says, “I send greetings, salutations, and most of all, a thank-you from Little Dog and myself for all you do!  I send a small love offering, but most of all a request for your voice of encouragement in God’s Word….”

Well, the Lord encouraged and refreshed me this morning with some Scripture I’d like to pass on to you: “Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Amplified Version).

In the midst of all the turmoil going on around us, aren’t those verses a wonderful reminder to keep our minds and hearts where our Lord created them to be? As we cast all our cares at his feet, please join me in joyfully setting our minds on the Lord Jesus. And perhaps you’ll find this month’s featured music CD helpful in being joyful from sunrise to sunset each day.  The CD is “Beyond the Sunset” and has 16 piano solos by Rudy Atwood. In Dr. Fuller’s Bible messages this month, he will highlight Moses – and then Rahab who lived in the city of Jericho. Both of these individuals yielded themselves to the Lord and witnessed results beyond all they could ask or think. Each of us also needs the daily reminder to yield ourselves fully to God, remembering that we were created to know Him, to know ourselves, and to let Him into each room of our hearts so that He might do the miracle of transforming us into all He intends us to be. The life-changing little booklet, “My Heart, Christ’s Home,” explains this in detail.  We’d be pleased to send a copy to you. Just request it the next time you call o write. It will be sent free of charge.
