Most dear OFRH family,
In my letter to you last month I shared that I have been finding more and more that when I have asked my Lord to help me rest in Him and to grow in trust, belief, hearing and obeying His voice, He is faithful to begin answering those requests. Sometimes He grows us through difficult experiences though, doesn’t He? That’s one way He teaches us to trust and learn that He really IS in control – when circumstances might indicate otherwise.
After Dr. Fuller finishes up this month in the Book of Romans, he will linger a couple of weeks in the Gospel of Mark at chapter 6, verses 45-52. Here is the amazing account of the Lord sending His disciples across the Sea of Galilee while He stays behind to pray. As the winds and waves increase, they begin to fear for their lives. The Lord comes to them, revealing through this experience that He is absolutely trustworthy and worthy of complete trust. The disciples discover that Jesus loves them, is all-powerful, discerning their need, and has them in the hollow of His hand. Do you remember that wonderful chorus we used to sing? “Safe am I, safe am I, in the hollow of His hand. Sheltered o’er, sheltered o’er, with His love forevermore. No ill can harm me, no foe alarm me, for He keeps both day and night.” This simple chorus rings with absolute truth: We can put our full weight on Jesus. School’s still in session for me! I have to keep learning daily to trust Him on a deeper level. As I do, so grows my peace, joy and rest in Him. How about you? Let’s keep encouraging and praying for any brothers and sisters who are experiencing very hard circumstances, that their peace and trust would blossom in the midst.
May we pray for you as well – perhaps due to some trying situation? Those on our OFRH team are humbled and privileged to pray on your behalf. It’s intended preparation for eternity and so worth it all. Would you please pray for this ministry as well. The OFRH resources have diminished greatly during 2026. This broadcast continues only as God through you makes it possible. Our faithful team also needs God’s guidance to make the decisions necessary to be excellent stewards of OFRH at this time. God bless you!!!!
Additional blessings can be yours if you decide to purchase our featured music CD for September. It’s “I Never Walk Alone” with 16 songs by the OFRH men’s quartet. The price is just $16.50 which includes shipping.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Michael Khanchalian, D.D.S.
