October 2026 Newsletter - Old Fashioned Revival Hour
Dear OFRH family member, deeply loved of God –
These are amazing times we are living in, aren’t they? How is your heart? How about your mind? What is the state of your spirit?
These are times I am really being encouraged by the Holy Spirit to press hard into the “deep, deep love of Jesus – vast, unmeasured, boundless, free.” Let us make time to come away from this world we are constantly surrounded by. Let us quiet our hearts to linger with God as we shut out other stress commanding our attention. Let the reality of His presence and His truth begin to refocus the place where our hearts and minds dwell. (I’m preaching to myself here, dear friend).
May He speak His peace to you from His Word and as expressed in hymns you know and love.
As we fall in love anew with our Savior, may His rest envelop you. This is not a physical rest so much as it is a supernatural spiritual rest – a settled, secure dwelling place with the God of the universe who created you. As each of us takes the time to allow God’s restful presence to surround us, we are equipped to be the conduit of the presence of God to those we are with.
We look forward this month to bringing you more of Dr. Fuller’s inspirational teaching from the Gospel of Mark and from 1 Thessalonians as well as from 1 and 2 Corinthians – plus, of course, a great deal of outstanding gospel music to help fill your heart with the peace, rest and joy that your Lord wants you to live out and affect others with.
The wonderful music CD we are featuring this month is “Autumn Leaves” which has 5 numbers by the OFRH choir, 5 piano solos by Rudy Atwood, and 5 songs by our men’s quartet. It can be yours for just $16.50 which includes shipping.
May I just say that the summer has been a real challenge for this broadcast financially. As you know, this ministry goes forward only as God’s people continue to make it possible. We will soon be deciding which stations across the country we will be forced to discontinue – something we certainly wish to avoid So, as God leads you, please consider helping in order to keep OFRH (as it is now) on the air.
May our Lord richly bless you,
Michael Khanchalian, D.D.S.
