Dearly beloved OFRH partner,
We are so grateful for your prayers and support as we continue to make these wonderful broadcasts available each week on the Internet and across the country over many stations.
The Old Fashioned Revival Hour was perhaps the most familiar broadcast on all of radio during the late 1930s through the 1950s, not only because it was on over 1,000 stations across the country during those years, but because the quality of the music was so excellent – outdoing most of the competing secular music found on radio. It drew believers and non-believers in and prepared them to listen to Dr. Charles Fuller give his heartfelt message from the Old Testament and New Testament each week, reasoning and loving and urging listeners to consider and respond to the claims of Christ. Every Scripture lesson he presented pointed to Jesus.
During the first two Sundays this October, Dr. Fuller will turn our attention to the Book of Judges, chapter 6. He’ll be focusing on how God prepared His servant Gideon for the tasks ahead which He intended him for. But first Gideon had to learn who his God really was and to experience that God would enable him to accomplish all His will and purpose. Gideon also needed to recognize the voice of God and rest in full confidence in the goodness and power of God. My! What a tremendous and privileged journey of obedience and faith.
Isn’t this also our journey throughout life, dear friend? Isn’t this what we have been created for as well? We’ve heard from a number of you who are going through some very rough seas – and yet are hanging on to your Lord, trusting Him as your only true Rock. Deuteronomy 32:4 (NKJV) says, “He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.”
We are so thankful to stand with you in prayer, believing with you that God is working out His good and perfect will. Do let us hear from you how OFRH has helped you in your journey with the Lord.
