Dear OFRH family member,

This month Dr. Fuller will continue on our adventure through the Book of Acts as we find ourselves in chapters 2 through 5. We’ll see how, once the gift of the Holy Spirit is freely given to the Lord’s own during the celebration of Pentecost, things start happening according to God’s gracious plan. The church begins in Jerusalem after many Jews from every corner of the Roman Empire had gathered and were convicted and humbled by Peter’s message regarding their guilt in facilitating the crucifixion of Jesus. The church grows further as Peter and John are jailed and persecuted for preaching the Good News and showing forth the Lord’s power when He uses them to heal a crippled man. When the Lord miraculously frees them, the Sanhedrin cannot come up with a convincing argument to sway the crowds against Peter and John.

Perhaps the Lord has used some very hard or even scary circumstance in your life to glorify Himself and increasingly reveal to you that “God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good or those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose” (Romans 8:28 Amplified).

We’d love to learn about the road you’re on and how the Lord, over the years, has taught you to be secure in His faithfulness. And of course, if you need our support for a difficult season in your life right now, please give us the privilege of praying for you.
