Dear beloved member of the OFRH family,
It is a privilege for me to greet each of you again. In my June letter, I reminded you of a bit of our history – how in June of 2002 our first re-broadcast of the Old Fashioned Revival Hour was aired on just one station, KDAR-98.3 fm. It reaches the Oxnard-Ventura-Santa Barbara area here in California. In June’s letter I also said, “Although KDAR no longer airs OFRH…” (and I don’t recall the details why that took place) but after several years it did. Well, just a few days after the June letter was posted, what a surprise to hear from them with an offer to begin airing OFRH again on that station. We especially rejoice in this good news! So, if you have family or friends in that locale, please let them know that they can once again hear the Old Fashioned Revival Hour on Sunday mornings from 7:00 to 8:00.
Dr. Fuller is continuing in the Book of Genesis during July. If you’d like to read ahead, spend a little time in chapters 13, 22, 24 and 28. His focus will include contrasting Abraham with his nephew Lot; then Abraham’s obedience to God in preparing to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac (not leaning on his own limited understanding but in all his ways acknowledging the Lord); also, recognizing God’s faithfulness in His choice of a wife for Isaac; and then Jacob’s eventual consecration to the Lord.
These wonderful examples from the Old Testament can provide beautiful assurance of God’s faithful promises to you and to me as we trust and obey Him – even through circumstances we may not really understand on our own. Oh, dear friend, God is FOR you!
