Stairway to heaven

Dear OFRH family,

First of all I want to thank you for the personal notes I have received from some of you. They are encouraging for not only myself but also for the faithful OFRH team who consistently pray for you as they serve and obey the Lord in the ongoing work of this ministry.

Last month I shared with you something the Lord is continuing to impress upon me, which is NOT to allow my thoughts to start going down rabbit holes as I arise in the morning but to remember:  “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by  prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ  Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7 NASB).

This is a special challenge for me as I anticipate patients’ needs that may be particularly difficult to attend to. Also, without the fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit, I may run out of steam and find it is impossible to help folks whom the Lord brings my way. So I choose to be available to my Lord each day for whatever ministry He wishes to do through me. It’s good to remember His instructions and promises: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not look anxiously about you, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, surely I will help you. Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10 NASB).

The Apostle Paul knew this and, as Dr. Fuller preaches from the Book of Acts during July, we shall witness God’s faithfulness to Paul as he followed the Lord’s leading in the cities of Berea, Athens and then Corinth.  Yes, Paul brought the blessings that accompany salvation to those who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. And, precious child of God, He will direct and empower you as well this month when you fully entrust yourself to Him and ask Him to speak and act through you. That’s the kind of prayer your loving Lord is always waiting to answer and bless.

With that in mind, we’re featuring our choir’s CD entitled “Make Me a Blessing.”  You can order it for just  $16.50 which includes shipping. (Due to tax, it’s $18.00 if you live in California.) And because donations to OFRH have been dwindling since the first of the year, it would be a wonderful blessing to us if you could include a note and a gift along with your purchase.

We’d love to be blessed by hearing from you,

Michael Khanchalian, D.D.S.
