Happy New Year, dear OFRH family –
This year the Old Fashioned Revival Hour celebrates its 21st year back on the airwaves. Great has been the Lord’s faithfulness, undergirding this ministry all these years. May He continue to bless you for your partnership with us.
We’re excited to announce that in this new year we’ll be adding a new station. It’s KAWX-fm in Mena, Arkansas. We don’t know the details yet, but you can pray and keep an eye out for information at KAWX.org – and rejoice with us!
Dr. Fuller’s message of January 1st highlights the present spiritual condition of our nation: “Righteous- ness [moral and spiritual integrity and virtuous character] exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people” (Proverbs 14:34 AMP). The media and all-pervasive input surrounding you and me will engulf us in its filth if we permit it. So we need to stay close to our Lord. To help you do that, we’re featuring the quartet’s CD entitled “I Never Walk Alone.” What a wonderful promise! It has 16 uplifting numbers that will encourage you. The price is $16.50 which includes shipping. It’s $18 for Californians due to tax.
On January 8 Dr. Fuller will give his final message in the series on the Last Days. Did it strike you as it did me how much more timely this series has been than when it was first presented? “Now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed” (Romans 13:11 KJV).
As I meditated today in both Psalm 27 and 57, I experienced a soothing balm for my soul. Let these words fill you with all joy and peace in believing (see Romans 15:13). Just to whet your appetite: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (27:1 KJV). “Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: For my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast” (57:1 KJV).
As I write, I am praying that the truths in these two Psalms will comfort and empower you. Following our Last Days series, the Old Fashioned Revival Hour begins in the priceless Book of Romans where we’ll linger until the end of March. May you be lifted up in the months ahead by the Old Fashioned Revival Hour as we present God’s Word and as we worship together with the chorus choir and quartet.
Walking into 2023 with the Savior,
Michael Khanchalian, D.D.S.
