Peace Concept

Wonderful OFRH family,

May the Lord’s grace and peace hover over you and abide within you as February begins and as you cling to the Rock of your salvation. Dr. Fuller begins the month by preaching from John, chapters 9 and 10. Then he will launch a series of lessons from the Book of Ruth in the Old Testament.

The Gospel of John is full of thrilling, deeply undergirding and assuring truth – and so worth taking a chunk of time to meditate, ruminate, graze upon phrase by phrase. For example, what did Jesus mean when He declared this? “I am the Door: anyone who enters through Me will be saved [and will live forever] and will go in and out [freely] and find pasture (spiritual security)” – John 10:9 Amplified.

He went on to promise: “The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand” (John 10:27-29 Amplified).

May these truths thrill you afresh, dear believer, especially as your attention shifts in mid-February to a precious family in Bethlehem that wanders out of the promised land because of an economic downturn. That’s where the Book of Ruth begins. And we’ll see what can happen if people forget to put the full weight of trust on their Shepherd – not a wise move for sheep whom He would die to save.

Well, I trust that you are drawing close daily to your Shepherd Savior and enjoying all that He has accomplished on your behalf because of His great love for you. If, however, you find yourself in circumstances that seem overwhelming, please know that the Old Fashioned Revival Hour team wants to hold you up in prayer. We consider it a holy privilege. Let us know, won’t you?

And may He put a song in your heart which, by the way, is the first number on our featured music CD for February – “Gospel Favorites, Volume 2.” There are 24 additional songs on the CD – 12 by the choir and 12 by the men’s quartet. The CD price is $16.50 which includes shipping -- $18.00 if you live here in California due to tax.

Remembering the greatness of our Lord’s faithfulness,

Michael Khanchalian, D.D.S.
