December 2021 Newsletter

Peace Concept

Precious OFRH family,

I hope that all during November you were able to set aside special times to express to your Lord genuine thankfulness. I’ve found it helpful to keep a record (a thankful list) of so many ways in which the Lord has been my “help in ages past” and then to review and update the list, keeping it fresh with current reasons for heartfelt gratitude.

What an important priority during these days when the world is so full of fear and uncertainty. We also may be tempted to fear, “but God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self control] …” (2 Timothy 1:7, Amplified version).

The Lord’s children have such peace available to them as they express thanks to God for all His wonderful promises in His Word and for all the personal ways they have experienced His faithfulness day by day. As we enter this Christmas season, you will have the opportunity to spend some prolonged time in the Gospel of John, chapters 4 through 6, as Dr. Fuller expounds on so many riches that accrue to us because of God’s unspeakable (beyond words) gift to us – Jesus.

One of my favorite broadcasts will be aired on December 5. It contains Dr. Fuller’s message on the gift of Living Water that Jesus offered to the woman at the well – and that He offers to you and to me as we abide in Him. Don’t forget to keep drinking deeply, dear brother, dear sister. As you drink Him in, be sure to allow that Living Water to flow onto those around you who may be weary from fear or anxiety. THE WELL IS ALWAYS FLOWING.

And we always appreciate joining you in prayer and praise as you share your concerns with us, along with the way the Lord has met specific needs. We come to the Father in the name of Jesus and usually close our prayer time with a hearty “Amen.” And that’s the title of the CD we’re featuring this month – closing 2021 with “Amen” by the OFRH quartet. It has 15 wonderful numbers. The cost is $16.50 which includes shipping. It’s $18.00 if you live in California due to tax.

May the Lord use you continually to buoy up His children and to be a witness to “pre-believers” during this Christmas season and all through the new year.

So thankful that the Father sent His Son to be the Savior of the world,

Michael Khanchalian, D.D.S.
