Dear, OFRH family,
After lingering in the Lord’s presence – praying and “listening” for His guidance – this is what the Lord is impressing upon me as I sit down to write to you. I will not be adding my own thoughts to it, trusting He knows exactly what He is conveying to each of you. (All quotes are from the New American Standard Bible translation.)
“Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.”
(Psalm 37:7)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your body, and refreshment to your bones.”
(Proverbs 3:5-8)
“Surely I have composed and quieted my soul,
like a weaned child rests against his mother.
My soul is like a weaned child within me.”
(Psalm 131:2)
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke
upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find
rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.”
(Matthew 11:28-30)
Sometimes music that exalts the Lord helps us to come to Him, rest in Him, and trust in Him. So the CD for May is “Gospel Favorites, Volume 3” with 12 wonderful numbers by the OFRH choir and 12 more by the quartet. The cost is just $16.50 which includes shipping. If a Californian, your total with tax is $18.
This month Dr. Fuller will focus our attention on the signs of the times and the glorious hope of the second coming of Christ, followed by an overview of what the Holy Spirit accomplished on the Day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts, chapter 2. Our prayer is that these messages and the ministry in song will bless and empower you for His perfect purposes. It is also our prayer that the Lord will enable us to keep the programs going out over all the current stations that air OFRH. But, from our limited vantage point, for that to happen we need to hear from a lot more of you dear listeners and other friends.
Praying, resting, trusting for HIS perfect plan,
Michael Khanchalian, D.D.S.
