November 2017
Greetings, dear friend of OFRH –
The prophet Jonah is Dr. Fuller’s main emphasis for his November messages. As you probably know, Jonah encountered a number of extreme changes in the brief narrative we find in Scripture. So here’s a question: How do you and how do I respond to change? Do we resist it because we’re comfortable in what’s familiar? Or do we embrace it as an opportunity to experience and learn new and fresh things?
Well, OFRH is see-sawing up and down between resisting and embracing now that we’re in the midst of changing our Internet website. Last month I asked you to pray for our wonderful volunteer webmaster couple, and I hope you’ll continue to lift them up to the Lord. Since August, they’ve been unable to continue helping OFRH, so we’re moving forward with a new webmaster who is developing a fresh, more user-friendly ofrh.com which should be up and running soon. Last month I also mentioned it had been “an incredibly lean summer,” so if you’re interested in the Internet and would like to designate a special gift to help underwrite this unexpected expense, we certainly welcome your participation!
Because the Lord is good, we are instructed in Psalm 100 to be thankful and bless His name (verses 4 and 5). But verse one says to express our joy to Him with an excited and noisy shout. Obviously He knew that this change was coming to OFRH, so we’re shouting “Hallelujah” and are looking forward to the road ahead – which brings us to our featured CD for November. It’s the men’s quartet album “On the Jericho Road.” They sing 15 numbers to encourage you in your spiritual journey of faith. (Since postage increased earlier this year, the price is $13.00 – and California residents must add $1.20 tax.)
You also might be thinking ahead to Christmas gift giving. We have about 40 music CDs and a few books you can share with family or friends. Also available are three Christmas albums. These are all listed online at ofrh.com – but if you have questions, you can always call 1-800-977-6374 and leave a message. Our office manager will get back to you. Of course, the sooner you place your order, the sooner we can fill it and get the items sent to you.
Wishing you a joyful and praise-full Thanksgiving Day,
Michael Khanchalian, D.D.S.
