Dear wonderful OFRH family,
Can it be November already? That must mean Thanksgiving Day is approaching. I pray, dear friend, that you can make some time in the midst of these challenging days, not only in our world but perhaps in your personal life as well, to write down and remember many instances of God’s love and grace to you (and to your loved ones and friends also).What an amazing, caring and loving Lord we serve who has adopted us as His own precious children.
Speaking of God’s gracious blessings, my wife Janene and I, while away on our anniversary trip in October, found ourselves in Cincinnati where we paid a surprise visit to WCVX Christian Talk 1160. This station has aired OFRH for many years. I can’t tell you how warmly we were received. Jessica Rice is the charming and talented station manager. And the name of the radio technician “par excellent” is Christian – how appropriate! Getting to know them both was just delightful. I enjoyed a little time behind the microphone there as well. In his teaching, Dr. Fuller lingers at Acts 1:8 for 3 weeks this month where Jesus promises the coming of the Holy Spirit to empower His faithful disciples. This Thanksgiving season I’m extremely grateful for His presence and power. How we need the Holy Spirit each day for instruction, guidance, comfort, fruitfulness and so much more.
